EPC

EPC stands for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction in the context of transmission lines. It refers to a comprehensive approach that encompasses the entire lifecycle of a transmission line project, from its initial design and engineering to procurement of materials and equipment, and finally, the construction and installation of the transmission line.
Under an EPC contract, the contractor is responsible for the entire project, from engineering and design to procurement of materials and equipment, and construction and commissioning of the transmission line. This means that the contractor is responsible for ensuring that the transmission line is designed and constructed to meet the specifications and requirements of the project owner, including technical, quality, safety, and environmental standards.
