In Power transmission System, Live-Line working, also known as Hotline Maintenance, is the maintenance of electrical equipment, often operating at high voltage, while the equipment is energised. This is more hazardous for personnel than working on electrical equipment with the power off, live-line maintenance techniques are used in the electric power industry to avoid the disruption and high economic costs of having to turn off power to customers to perform essential periodic maintenance on transmission lines and other equipment.
This can be done using Hot stick or Live Line Tool where the worker remain at a specified distance from the live parts and carry out the work by means of an insulating stick. Tools can be attached to the stick, allowing work to be performed with the worker himself safely away from the live conductors.
To provide facilities for uninterrupted power Telegence has trained its employees for Hotline maintenance from the National Power Training Institute, Bengaluru who assures to provide the best services in any condition.
Now, Telegence has been successfully executed Hotline Conductor Stringing of Crossing at more than 60 locations in recent times and is been speeding up in the direction of Hotline Maintenance soon to avoid any kind of interception in the avail.
Special live line services and tools in transmission lines refer to the techniques, equipment, and procedures used to perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on energized electrical power lines. These services and tools are employed to ensure the uninterrupted supply of electricity while minimizing downtime and ensuring the safety of workers.
